The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has defined the International Patent Classification codes. For searching the right code you can use their website properly.

Tip: copy the IPC code from a similar patent which you already know. This IPC code is printed on the front page of this patent under the number (51). Just take over the digits of this IPC code before the slash "/". 


Alert service for pending patents

Once Patent Forward has informed you about a published patent application you are interested in, you can apply for the alert service from European Patent Office itself. Then you will be able to follow any news related to that document which have been registered within the European Register.
